Developing a database application can range from a simple tracking tool to a complex set of data needed to be sliced and diced in many
directions. Our first goal is to understand what you're really looking for and the best route to meet that need. We usually discuss database
related projects with our customer on conceptual levels. While at the beginning most often not familiar with conceptual database design, the customer begins to appreciate the purpose of this clarifying and documenting approach. AppSoft Development comes up with a solution, ensuring it still meets your criteria.
Because of our experience we can quickly define the major components of your database. In many cases, we set up a prototype of the database or one major component. For small databases this prototype often becomes your working database, with the necessary refinements. For larger databases, we find that having the user see a working prototype with some unique data display and data access techniques will often save time and significantly reduce the amount of re-working further down in the development process.
We have broad database developer technical knowledge in the following programming and database languages: Microsoft SQL Server, Access. We also have experience with Oracle, Macromedia Flash and Director.
